SO.. guess whats in it. alginate powder mix, plater bandages, a bald cap, and spirit gum. yep I'm doing a life cast. time for me to get a haircut and a shave.

Project one Complete

So a week early we decided to put on our performance after only one days worth of composing and rehearsal. Surprisingly it turned out well. As I'm writing this I am uploading my videos of the Tuesday rehearsal and the Thursday performance. I find it strange how from that single wall of writing that we developed a "musical" language that everyone seemed to roughly understand.

and so i begin

At the start of the semester the class was given a list of figures of whom were not necessarily artists, and were told to become these people and as these people to make art threw their ideas and perceptions. I choose Henry Ford, and bought a biography entitled The Secret Life of Henry Ford which i just received today no latter then a week more then when the order was placed.

I relized today after listening to the video several times, that the audio quality of the strings themselves were being over powered by the twang of the initial striking of the metal stick on the strings. I figure i need to use a different striker. So i am piecing together a mallet of sorts to help. images soon to  come.

update on my instrument

so this is a vid of me playing the current rendition of my pine box instrument, so far the kinks are that it continues to loose "tune" and that it does not translate the tone threw a mic very well. im thinking of hooking it up with a mic of its own or even some sort of guitar pick up so i can run it threw a pedal. anyways below is the vid.
